Zack Liao

Research Associate

Zack Tzu-Hao Liao (廖子豪) is a Research Associate of CSRI and holds a MA in War Studies from King’s College London with a research topic on strategic sealift. He is also the leading political risk consultant on China at a private intelligence company in London. He was a research consultant of the International Crisis Group and an intern of the Administration Office, Ministry of National Defence, Taiwan. He has written several academic articles on the PLA, strategic studies and naval affairs and published in China Brief, Britain’s World (by the Council on Geostrategy), The Diplomat, Taiwan’s Navy Professional Journal (海軍學術雙月刊) and Prospect Quarterly (遠景季刊; Taiwan-SSCI). Liao won 2 conference paper awards at Taiwan International Conference on Ocean Governance (hosted by AIT and Taiwan Ocean Affairs Council).
